Claudia Favari

Claudia has a Master degree in Food Science and Technology at the University of Parma (2017). Before graduating, she did her Master Traineeship (Jan 2017 – Jul 2017) at the University of Barcelona in the research group of Biomarkers and Nutritional & Food Metabolomics (“Biomarkers & Nutrimetabolomics” ), co-ordinated by Professor Cristina Andrés-Lacueva. During that period, she has gained experience in food characterization and the metabolomic approach to research.

Currently, she is working as research assistant at the Laboratory of Phytochemicals in Physiology, led by Prof. Daniele Del Rio. Her work is focused on the bioavailability and bioactivity of phenolic compounds and their human and microbial metabolites, using principally in vivo models, both human and animal.
