Margherita Dall’Asta is working as a Ph.D. student at the Laboratory of Phytochemicals in Physiology (Human Nutrition Lab) of the Department of Food Science at the University of Parma (Italy). Her research is based on polyphenolic compounds. In particular, she works both on the modification induced in vitro by the intestinal microflora on polyphenolic compounds present in foods, and the evaluation of the bioactivity of polyphenolic metabolites produced in humans in different models of in vitro cellular cultures.
Margherita Dall’Asta (Parma, Italy, 21-04-1984) has a Master degree in Food Science and Technology (University of Parma, 2010) and she spent one year of undergraduate internship at the Human Nutrition Lab of the Department of Food Science. Presently, she is concluding her Ph.D. in Food Science at the University of Parma (Italy) in co-tutorship with the Ph.D. School of Chemical and Biological Sciences for Health of the University of Montpellier 1. During her Ph.D. she regularly visited the Laboratory of Pharmacology and Experimental Physiopathology of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (IBMM) of the University of Montpellier 1 (France).
